Introduce the Buddy Bench system to your playground! Don't let children feel excluded or left out, give them a place to go when they need a friend or someone to talk to.
The Buddy Bench system works by providing a free, safe space for a child to go and sit when they are feeling alone or left out. With the system in place, another child would then approach the Buddy Bench to sit with its occupier and talk to them or resolve a problem they might have.
Clear, laser-cut icons are displayed on the back of the bench to let everybody know that is is the Buddy Bench. Smiley faces are cut into it to show this is a happy, friendly space.
